At the working session, the Military Women Advisory Board informed the guest about its functions, tasks, and achievements in women's advancement and gender equality work in the Vietnam People’s Army. Both sides discussed and agreed on cooperation between the Military Women Advisory Board and U.N. Women in Vietnam.
Both sides highly valued the role and mission of U.N. Women in promoting and supporting women’s efforts and actions for global gender equality. They acknowledged U.N. Women’s contributions to raising awareness, enhancing the effectiveness of gender equality initiatives, and changing the lives of billions of women and their families worldwide.

Both sides agreed on the necessity of U.N. Women’s cooperation with the Military Women Advisory Board in many fields, focusing on training and skill development for military women, particularly in international cooperation and deeper involvement in women, peace, and security activities under the U.N. framework, especially in peacekeeping operations.
In addition, the Military Women Advisory Board expressed its hope for U.N. Women’s support in cultural and artistic activities, as well as in promoting the image of Vietnamese military women to the international community, among others.
The meeting concluded successfully, laying the foundation for deeper and broader international integration of the Military Women Advisory Board in the time ahead. It also provided U.N. Women with a better understanding of and opportunities to support women serving in the military.

Both sides were also committed to working together to promote gender equality, aiming for higher achievements in Vietnam in general and within the Vietnam People’s Army in particular.
