During the visit, the delegation also extended congratulations to the Lao troops and people on the 46th anniversary of Laos’ National Day.

The gifts, including necessities, medical supplies and equipment, were handed over to Lao border units, namely Border Protection Company 215 of the Houaphanh provincial Military Command, the Management Board of Namsoi International Border Gate, and other forces who are on duty in Lao border areas.

On this occasion, the two sides exchanged information and discussed issues related to their cooperation in border management and protection, political-security situation, social order and safety, as well as economic development.

Despite severe impacts caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the two countries’ functional forces and people have enhanced mutual support on the basis of friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation.

For the Lao side, Lieutenant Colonel Noukone Sengvilaiphone, Head of Police Team of Namsoi International Border Gate sent his thanks to the officers and soldiers from the Border Station of the Na Meo International Border Gate and Na Meo International Border Gate Customs Branch for their valuable gifts.

He also acknowledged and hailed their timely support in the unit’s COVID-19 prevention and control work over the past time, hoping that the special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos will further develop, be forever green, and eternally sustainable.
