* The same day, Gen Vinh hosted a reception for Italian Ambassador to Vietnam Antonio Alessandro.

Gen. Vinh said that although the Vietnam-Italian defense cooperation has just been established, the ties have contributed actively to bilateral relations of the two countries. "Vietnam always attaches importance to the bilateral defense ties with Italia," he affirmed.

For his part, Ambassador Antonio Alessandro said that the relationship between Italy and Vietnam has been developing vigorously, especially since the two countries established a strategic partnership in 2013.
