Since then, the participation of female soldiers has expanded across various fields, with the proportion of female personnel often exceeding the U.N.’s general recommendations.

Currently, the Viet Nam Coast Guard has one female officer carrying out a peacekeeping mission at the U.N. Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) and four female members serving at the UNISFA.
