Uzbekistan receives Vietnamese “Emergency Area” contingent to Army Games 2022
PANO – Uzbekistan, the host country of the “Emergency Area” content within the International Army Games 2022 (Army Games 2022), held a welcoming ceremony on August 5 at Shazagan training ground in Samarkand province for the Vietnamese “Emergency Area” contingent.

This is the fourth time that the Chemical Corps has been tasked by the Ministry of National Defense with selecting and training troops to compete in the content.
Speaking at the event, Colonel Ismatov Ikromjon, Chief of Uzbekistan’s Force against Weapons of Mass Destruction, lauded the Vietnamese Defense Ministry’s efforts in overcoming challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic to join the event.

Colonel Ismatov Ikromjon emphasized that Army Games is a good chance for participating teams and militaries demonstrate their will power and exchange and acquire military skills. The event is also a golden opportunity to foster cooperation among participating militaries in general and between Vietnam and Uzbekistan in particular.
During the welcoming ceremony, various etiquettes imbued with national tradition were held for participating delegations, including the Vietnamese contingent.
Right after the welcoming ceremony, the “Emergency Area” contingent of the Vietnam People’s Army started two-week quarantine period.

After completing the quarantine period, the team will get used to the training ground, weapons, and equipment before the competition.
