Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong leaves for official visit to Japan
PANO - A high-ranking military delegation of the Vietnam People’s Army, led by Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, left Vietnam on October 10 for an official visit to Japan.

The Japan visit of the Vietnamese delegation is made at the invitation of the Chief of Staff of the Japan Joint Staff.
The visit aims to further strengthen cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense, the Vietnam People’s Army and the Japanese Defense Ministry, Self-Defense Force.
It is to boost the political significance in the year the two countries are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam - Japan diplomatic ties (September 21, 1973 - 2023), contributing to fostering the comprehensive implementation of their extensive strategic partnership.
