Sailing Ship 286-Le Quy Don departs Sihanoukville port, concluding visit to Cambodia
PANO - On the afternoon of June 2, Sailing Ship 286-Le Quy Don and the delegation of the Vietnam People's Navy (VPN) departed Sihanoukville Port in Preah Sihanouk province, successfully concluding their visit and exchange activities with the Royal Cambodian Navy.
At the farewell ceremony, Rear Admiral In Sokhemra, Deputy Commander of Ream Naval Base under the Royal Cambodian Navy, congratulated the VPN delegation aboard Sailing Ship 286-Le Quy Don on the successful completion of its visit and exchange program in Cambodia. He emphasized that the visit contributed to strengthening solidarity, close ties, cooperation and friendship between the two navies.

Senior Captain Lai Hong Dong, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Naval Academy and head of the VPN delegation, thanked commanders, officers and sailors of the Royal Cambodian Navy for their warm reception and for creating favorable conditions for the delegation to successfully carry out its activities in Cambodia.
During its stay in Cambodia, the VPN delegation paid courtesy calls on the leadership of Ream Naval Base, visited the Royal Cambodian Naval Academy, laid a wreath in tribute to fallen heroes at the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Monument in Preah Sihanouk province. They also visited the Consulate General of Vietnam in Sihanoukville, participated in sports exchange activities with the Royal Cambodian Navy, and hosted a reception aboard Sailing Ship 286-Le Quy Don.

Through these visit and exchange activities, the delegation left a positive impression on the Royal Cambodian Navy, contributing to further enhancing cooperation, mutual trust and understanding between the two navies and fostering the good-neighborliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-term sustainability between Vietnam and Cambodia.
Following the farewell ceremony, Sailing Ship 286-Le Quy Don and the VPN delegation departed Sihanoukville Port for their return voyage to Vietnam.
