RCAF leader extends New Year greetings to Vietnamese military unit
PANO - On the occasion of the lunar New Year (Tet) 2024, on January 9, a delegation of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF), led by General Dieng Sarun, Deputy Chief of Joint Staff and Deputy Commander of the High Command of Guards of the RCAF, visited and extended Tet greetings, presenting gifts to troops of the An Giang provincial Border Guard Command.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged information regarding the border situation, including efforts in combating various crimes, resolving border-related incidents, safeguarding border routes and markers, as well as facilitating border residents' movement for medical treatment, tourism, and goods exchange.
General Dieng Sarun took this opportunity to extend lunar New Year greetings to leaders, officers, soldiers of the An Giang provincial Border Guard Command, and their families, wishing them a prosperous year ahead. He also expressed his hope for the continuous development of the An Giang provincial Border Guard Command and the long-standing solidarity between the armed forces and people of Vietnam and Cambodia.
On behalf of the An Giang provincial Border Guard Command, its Commanding Officer Senior Colonel Tran Quoc Khanh, expressed thanks to General Dieng Sarun and the Cambodian delegation for their visit and Tet greetings. He also expressed hope for continued cooperation and support from General Dieng Sarun and his subordinate units in managing and safeguarding national sovereignty and border security, contributing to building peaceful, cooperative, and developing border areas.
