MND holds seminar on Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia relations
PANO - The Ministry of National Defense (MND) held the third national-level seminar, titled “Strengthening solidarity among Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia in the new situation,” on January 10.
The seminar, chaired by Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Defense Minister General Nguyen Tan Cuong, heard more than 30 reports and speeches from generals, experts, and scientists.

Reports and speeches offered many arguments, perspectives, and in-depth evaluations and analyses of both internal and external factors influencing the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. They also proposed practical solutions to strengthening the solidarity and friendship among the three countries and peoples in the new situation.
Speaking at the seminar, General Nguyen Tan Cuong highly appreciated the valuable contribution from leaders of central agencies, generals, experts, and scientists. He acknowledged the close and effective coordination of relevant agencies and units, as well as the Military Science Academy, which played an important role in the success of the seminar.
Concluding the event, the Chief of the General Staff said that the project’s authors should adopt delegates’ comments. He urged a deeper and more comprehensive analysis and evaluation of the position, role, and basis of the Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia relationship and the factors influencing the trilateral relations. Based on this, feasible solutions should be proposed to continue strengthening the solidarity and friendship among the three peoples in the new context.

The Chief of the General Staff also asked units in charge of conducting the project to continue working closely with relevant agencies and units to complete the research products with the highest quality and organize the evaluation and acceptance of the project according to the agreed schedule.
