On behalf of the Party Committee and Chain-of-Command of Military Region 4, its Deputy Commander Major General Ha Tan Tien handed over the medical supplies, worth VND over 2 billion in total, to the Laos People’s Army at the Lao Bao International Border Gate in Quang Tri province. The gifts include 2,000 kg of Chlorine Nippon 70%, 4,000 protective suits, 80,000 medical face masks, 72,000 cloth masks, 800 N95 respirators and surgical masks, 3,600 hand sanitizers, 16 disinfectant sprayers, and 64 spraying hose pipes.

In turn, Colonel Khamnho Linsomphou, Commander of Division 4 under the Laos People’s Army, expressed his thanks for the support of Vietnam’s Military Region 4, adding that the activity contributed to promoting the solidarity between the two militaries and the two peoples.
On this occasion, the Women Union of Military Region 4 also gave 30,000 medical face masks, worth VND 120 million in total, to the Laos People’s Army.
* The same day, a delegation of the Department of Military Medicine of the General Department of Logistics of the Vietnam People’s Army handed over medical supplies, sponsored by the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense, to the Cambodian Ministry of National Defense.
The supplies include 100,000 face masks, 5,000 hand sanitizers, 200 infrared thermometers, and more.

Speaking at the event, General Kong Saly, Deputy Commander of the General Department of Logistics and Head of the Department of Military Medicine under the Cambodian Ministry of National Defense, extended gratitude to the Vietnamese side. He underlined that the meaningful gifts show the traditional friendship and fruitful cooperation between the two militaries, and the support for the Cambodian side in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
His unit will continue providing timely advice to the Cambodian Ministry of National Defense to accelerate cooperation with the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense in preventing the disease and other fields, contributing to enhancing the solidarity, friendship and cooperation between the two countries and militaries.
