Lao People’s Army troops joining in April 30 parade welcomed in Hue city

PANO - The Military Command of Hue city, in collaboration with other agencies and units, welcomed and gave encouragement to a delegation from the Lao People’s Army which arrived at Terminal T2, Phu Bai International Airport on April 19 to depart for Ho Chi Minh City to participate in the upcoming parade there.

Leaders from the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s Hue city chapter and the municipal Military Command present flowers to the Lao People’s Army delegation.

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - 2025), the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam invited the Lao People’s Army to send a formation of servicemen to take part in the parade and they agreed.

At the airport, the Lao formation was warmly welcomed by the leaderships of the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s Hue city chapter, the municipal Military Command, Division 968 under Military Region 4, Party Committee and authorities of Huong Thuy townlet, local armed forces, and students from Hue University.

In a conversation with the Lao delegation, leaders from the municipal chapter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and municipal Military Command expressed their delight and honor to welcome the delegation in Vietnam to join in the important event of the country. Their participation demonstrated the fine traditional ties between the people of the two countries and the two militaries.

The host wished the Lao officers and soldiers good health, completion of their tasks, contributing to the success of the celebration.
