India, Vietnam strengthen defense cooperation

A high-ranking delegation from the Vietnamese Defense Ministry, led by Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army Lieutenant General Pham Xuan Hung, paid an official visit to India from November 26 to December 3.
The visit aimed to survey military education and training strategies for the 2011-2020 period, and contribute to boosting friendly relations between the two countries.
During the visit, the delegation held talks with the Chief of the Naval Staff of the Indian Navy, Admiral Nirmal Kumar Verma, and the Chief of the Indian Army, General V. K. Singh.
They also visited India’s National Defence Academy and the Officers’ Training Academy in Gaya and the Agra Air Force Station.
