GDP’s leader receives Cambodian military art troupe
PANO - Major General Le Hien Van, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics (GDP) of the Vietnam People's Army, on August 23 received a military art troupe from the Royal Cambodian Army, led by Lieutenant General Mao Phalla, Deputy Chief of Staff and Director of the Information and Training Department under the Army Command.

At the reception, General Van warmly welcomed the delegation and stressed that over the past 50 years, the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia have constantly developed in various fields, including defense-security. The leaders of the two countries are determined to build bilateral relations under the principle "good neighbors, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, long-term sustainability”.
General Van said that the guest’s performance in Vietnam this time is an opportunity to promote the mutual understanding and tighten the solidarity between the two militaries in particular, and peoples of the two countries in general.
For his part, General Mao Pholla thanked the host for the warm welcome and said that the Royal Cambodian military art troupe will perform in Vietnam on August 21-28 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam-Cambodia diplomatic relations and the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Year 2017.
General Mao Pholla also informed General Van of the outcomes of the troupe’s performances in some localities in Vietnam and affirmed that the troupe will continue to design more special performances for Vietnamese troops and people, contributing to enhancing to the friendship and cooperation between the Government, army and people of the two countries.
