Deputy Defense Minister: Vietnam treasures defense relations with Myanmar
PANO - Vietnam attaches importance to defense relations with Myanmar, said Deputy-Defense Minister, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh at a reception in Hanoi on May 7 for the outgoing Myanmar military, naval and air force attaché Colonel Aung Kyaw Oo and the newly-appointed attaché Brigadier General Aung Zeya.
At the reception, General Vinh recalled the two countries’ traditional friendship and their ASEAN memberships. He spoke highly of Senior Colonel Aung Kyaw Oo’s contributions to boosting Vietnam-Myanmar defense ties during his tenure.

In addition, the Vietnamese Deputy-Defense Minister also assured the guests that the Vietnamese Defense Ministry will always create favorable conditions for Brigadier General Aung Zeya to fulfill his assigned tasks.
Colonel Aung Kyaw Oo, for his part, thanked the Vietnamese Defense Ministry for supporting him during his tenure. For his part, Brigadier General Aung Zeya expressed his wish to contribute in any way possible to the Vietnam-Myanmar ties.
