Deputy Chief of General Staff receives Cuban guest
PANO - Deputy Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Thai Dai Ngoc received Major General Israel Tomás Domínguez, Director of the Department of Communications of the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba (MINFAR) at the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense (MND) on May 13.
Gen. Ngoc expressed thanks to the MINFAR for sending a delegation of the Chief of the Political Directorate of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces to take part in the celebration marking the 50th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - 2025).
The host confirmed that Vietnam will never forget the precious, heartfelt, and wholehearted material and spiritual support of the people of peace-loving countries in the world for Vietnam, including the Cuban people and the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces.

He highlighted the cooperative ties between Vietnam and Cuba, saying that it has been constantly developed. In addition, the bilateral defense cooperation has been implemented effectively, commensurate with documents signed and agreements reached by senior leaders of the two countries and leaders of the Vietnamese MND and the MINFAR.
He said that in the coming time, the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army will actively direct relevant agencies and units to effectively and practically carry out cooperation contents to meet the two sides’ needs and potential.

For his part, Major General Israel Tomás Domínguez expressed his impressions on the aforementioned celebration and congratulated Vietnam on its obtained achievements. Saying thanks to the Vietnamese MND for assisting the MINFAR, the Cuban guest affirmed to strive to make contributions to developing the bilateral defense ties in the time ahead.
