Chief-of-Staff of Myanmar Air Defense visits Vietnam
PANO - Senior Lieutenant General Pham Ngoc Minh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, hosted a reception on April 4 for Lieutenant General Tin Maung Win, Chief-of-Staff of Air Defense of Myanmar, who is on a working visit to Vietnam.
At the meeting at the Ministry of National Defense’s headquarters, General Minh emphasized the long-lasting friendship and flourishing bilateral ties between the two countries and the continuously-cemented ties between the Vietnam People’s Army and the Myanmar Armed Forces, especially since the two countries lifted their ties to a comprehensive cooperative partnership.

General Minh also affirmed that the leadership of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army always creates favorable conditions for the two sides’ agencies to maintain their effective cooperation, partly contributing to each country’s defense-security cause and to the two militaries’ enhancement of mutual understanding, friendship, solidarity and close ties.
For his part, General Win highly valued all-round development of Vietnam in general and of the Vietnam People’s Army in particular.
He took this chance to inform the host of the outcomes of his working sessions with related agencies under the Vietnam Ministry of National Defense.
The Myanmar general hoped that the bilateral defense cooperation will further develop in an intensive and effective manner in the time to come.
