Cambodian military attachés visit Vietnam Naval Academy
PANO - A delegation of the Cambodian military attachés, led by Defense Military Attaché Major General Leang Sovannara, visited and had a working session with the Vietnam Naval Academy on March 5.
Rear Admiral Nguyen Van Lam, the academy’s Director, warmly welcomed the Cambodian delegation. He said that over the past nearly 57 years of the diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cambodia, the friendship and cooperation between the two parties, states, peoples, and militaries have helped consolidate peace, stability, cooperation and development of each country and of the region as well.

The Vietnamese school’s leader also recalled that last year, the Vietnam Naval Academy and the Royal Cambodian Navy signed a twinning agreement, promoting solidarity and mutual support in the fields of education and training and more.
For his part, Major General Leang Sovannara thanked the host for their warm reception and hospitability. He highly appreciated the outcomes in training cooperation and support that the Vietnam Naval Academy has given to the Royal Cambodian Navy in the past.

On this occasion, the Cambodian general congratulated the host on achievements in education and training and in building an elite, compact, strong, and modernized school.
During the visit, the Cambodian guests visited Cambodian cadets at the International Department of the academy.
