Together with border management, Vietnamese border guard units in the border areas have actively supported Laos’ border localities to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty and provided free health check-ups and medicines to tens of thousands of needy Lao people in border areas.

Through these practical activities, the Vietnamese border guard force has contributed to firmly safeguarding national sovereignty and security in border areas and strengthening special friendship, solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
