Australia presents peacekeeper training equipment to Vietnam
PANO – A ceremony to hand over peacekeeper training equipment presented by the Australian Department of Defense to the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations (VDPKO) was held in Hanoi on December 14.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army Lt. Gen. Phung Si Tan, Political Counselor at the Australian Embassy in Vietnam Bridget Collier, and representatives of functional agencies of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense.
The equipment package includes a set of interpretation devices with 100 headsets, 15 cardioverter defibrillators and 20 sets of walkie-talkies.
They will be used for training members of the Level-2 Field Hospital Rotation 4, the Engineering Company Rotation 1 and other units in VDPKO.
