Lt. Gen. Nguyen Trong Nghia addressing the event.

The movement, running till the end of this year, aims to promote friendship and cooperation among the three countries, and popularize the glorious traditions and close bonds among the three armies through valuable works of literature, songs, posters, photos and documentary scripts. It is part of the activities to mark the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam-Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation, the 55th anniversary of the Vietnam-Laos diplomatic ties and the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam-Cambodia diplomatic relations.

Speaking at the ceremony, General Nghia stressed that this is the first time the VPA has organized such a large-scale composition movement with the participation of the armies of the three countries. Therefore, the contest will mark an important milestone in the solidarity, friendship and cooperation among Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, he said.
