Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Dao, Deputy Chief of the General Staff and Head of the Expo Organizing Committee, chaired the meeting.
At the conference, participants heard reports on the progress of preparations and proposals from relevant agencies and units. As reported, the exhibition will cover approximately 123,800 square meters this year, divided into seven main areas, including an outdoor display area, an indoor exhibition area, a defense experience and military games area, and an area showcasing economic-defense products and the cultural heritage of Vietnam’s three regions.

As of early September, 128 organizations and companies from 31 countries, including the U.K., France, Germany, the U.S., Japan, India, the Republic of Korea, Turkiye and China, had registered to display their products at the expo.
The Protocol sub-committee has coordinated and completed the delivery of invitations to partners from 56 countries. It has also invited the Ministries of National Defense of Laos and China to participate in the area showcasing economic-defense products and the culture of Viet Nam’s three regions. In addition, the sub-committee has successfully organized the first refresher course for 145 liaison officers, interpreters and military cadets who serve the expo.
The Logistics and Support Sub-committee has conducted on-site surveys of infrastructure at the exhibition venue and proposed arrangements for catering facilities capable of serving 5,000-7,000 meals per sitting. It has also worked out plans to ensure unobstructed access for fire engines, ambulances and supply vehicles. The sub-committee proposed establishing a military medical support area comprising two emergency resuscitation stations outdoors and one emergency treatment station indoors. It is also coordinating the establishment of a military medicine experience pavilion to introduce visitors to Viet Nam’s traditional medicine.
Concluding the conference, Sr. Lt. Gen. Le Quang Dao praised agencies and relevant units for the proactive, active and flexible implementation of their assigned tasks. He requested that the agencies and units continue to review all tasks; clearly define the handover schedule; and further promote communication and promotional activities for the expo both at home and abroad, with a focus on international partners.
The inventory and mobilization plans for weapons, technical equipment, personnel, and vehicles from participating units must be finalized before October 15 to allow timely classification, screening and maintenance.
