US Ambassador bids farewell to HCM City leaders
Chairman of the HCM City People’s Committee Nguyen ThanhPhong on October 23 received outgoing US Ambassador to Vietnam Ted Osius, who came to bid farewell to the municipal leaders.
Speaking at the meeting, Phong, who is also Vice Secretary of the municipal Party Committee, praised the ambassador for hisefforts to foster the Vietnam-US comprehensive partnership during his term.

Phong said he believes that the upcoming visit of US President Donald Trump to Vietnam and his attendance in the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Da Nang this November will take the ties to a new height. He hoped that Osius, in any capacity, will continue enhancing the US’s relations with Vietnam and HCM City in particular.
Osius, for his part, thanked the local government for facilitating US investors’ operation in HCM City and looked forward to more support from the city for them in the future.
