The 25th anniversary of Vietnam-RoK diplomatic ties marked
PANO – The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea (RoK) to Vietnam Lee Hyuk hosted a banquet in Hanoi on November 24 to celebrate the country’s National Day and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-RoK diplomatic relationship.

The event was attended by representatives from central and local agencies and ministries, businesses and Korean students in Vietnam.
In his speech, Ambassador Lee Hyuk expressed his delight at the effective development of Vietnam-RoK strategic cooperative partnership and said that the two sides should continue promoting their strengths and implementing cooperation mechanisms effectively to raise their trade turnover to the targeted USD 100 billion by 2020.
He added that the two countries should strengthen cooperation in areas such as culture, education, tourism and laborforce development.
Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung said that the Vietnamese government welcomed Korean businesses who wished to invest in Vietnam, particularly in high-tech fields, environmental protection, processing and support industries, to name a few.
