The Vietnam Leather & Footwear Association (LEFASO) plans to send Vietnamese footwear businesses to the US to attend the World Shoe & Accessory Trade Fair and study the Mexican footwear market from July 27 to August 4.

The activity, aimed at promoting footwear exports to North America, is part of the national trade promotion programme in 2008.

The country’s footwear exports to the North American market have seen remarkable growth with an increase of around 20% in 2007 compared to the previous year.
