The Viet Nam Association of Seafood Exporters and Processors (VASEP) said that it had booked two pavilions at the Busan International Seafood and Fisheries Expo slated for November 15 in the Republic of Korea.

At the four-day seafood fair, the biggest of its kind in the RoK, Vietnamese seafood businesses will display tra and basa catfish products, tiger shrimps, deep-water fish, mollusks and other seafood products.

The RoK is currently one of Viet Nam’s four biggest seafood importers and is getting bigger annually. Last year, Viet Nam raked in 210.3 million USD from the export of 84,000 tonnes of seafood to the RoK and export revenues so far this year have risen by almost 22 percent compared 2006.

Meanwhile, almost 60 Vietnamese businesses displayed products ranging from porcelain, bamboo and rattan products, household utensils, paintings and souvenirs at the “Tendence Lifestyle” in Frankfurt, Germany.

This year’s innovative trade fair attracted more than 3,200 businesses from 75 countries worldwide.
