The event was part of activities within the framework of the 7th National Congress of the Association of Young Vietnamese Entrepreneurs for the 2022-2025 tenure.
In 2021, the event had some considerable changes due to the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Accordingly, 294 enterprises from 55 provinces and cities across the country were nominated for the Vietnam Golden Star Award 2021. After the preliminary round, 220 enterprises were selected for the appraisal period.
Based on the results of the appraisal period, the organizing panel chose the top 10, top 100, and top 200 typical Vietnam brands to honor.

As reported, the total combined turnover of 200 honored enterprises was more than VND 747 trillion. They contributed VND 40 trillion to the State budget and created jobs for over 450,000 laborers.
The top 10 in the list are FPT Group, Viettel Post Joint Stock Corporation, Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SACOMBANK), Vietnam Construction and Import – Export Joint Stock Corporation (VINACONEX), Viet Tien Garment JSC, Minh Phu Seafood Corporation, ATAD Steel Structure Corporation, Thien Long Group, Hung Thinh Corporation, and Binh Duong Mineral and Construction Joint Stock Company (KSB – BIMICO).
The top 10 enterprises generated more than VND 554 trillion in revenue, contributed VND 9 trillion to the State budget and created over 107, 000 new jobs.
Speaking highly of the honored enterprises’ valuable contribution to the country’s development, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission Tran Tuan Anh emphasized the important role of enterprises as well as entrepreneurs in the implementation of the 10-year Socio-economic Development Strategy for the 2021-2030 period.

Also, he asked the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association to constantly innovate to increase operational efficiency, propose more effective solutions for building and developing corporate and entrepreneurial culture, as well as improving competitive advantages for Vietnamese firms in the international economic integration, contributing to the sustainable development of the country.
