Yen So Sewage Treatment Plant, the largest of its kind in Vietnam, was handed over to Hanoi Sewage and Drainage Ltd. Co. on August 30.

The facility, located in Yen So ward of the city’s Hoang Mai district, covers 91,959 square metres and is capable of treating 200,000 cubic metres per day, half of the total amount of daily sewage produced in Hanoi.

Cheong Ho Kuan, General Director of Gamuda Land Vietnam Ltd. Co. – the plant’s investor, said that the treatment facility will help address polluted environment and water sources in the south of the city.
