The estimated export value of agricultural, aquatic and forestry products will have reached US$2 billion in November, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

With the figure, total exports of agricultural, aquatic and forestry products will be valued at US$22.6 billion over the first 11 months, up by 30.6 per cent against the same time last year.

Officials at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said that this sector really made special efforts to achieve the impressive hike in spite of a fall in amounts of number of export lines.

“Alongside the sector’s noticeable efforts, prices of many agricultural, aquatic and forestry products stood high in the world market over the past months and this added to the sector’s export turnover,” officials added.

Of the three major export lines, agricultural products saw the most impressive growth of 36.6 per cent while forestry exports rose 24.2 per cent and aquatic exports increased 24.9 per cent.
