Viettel presents scholarships to children of needy workers
PANO - The Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel) on June 13 granted the “Golden Heart Charitable Fund” scholarships to children of workers living in extremely needy conditions in Bac Giang province.

This activity was within the framework of the “Vietnamese workers with the aspiration to develop the country” dialogue between Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and workers nationwide, which was held by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor via both online and in-person form.
At the event, Senior Colonel Tao Duc Thang, Chairman and General Director of Viettel Group, handed over VND 2.5 billion to the Golden Heart Charitable Fund under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
The fund will use the donations to support children of disadvantaged workers and children orphaned by the COVID-19 pandemic.
This meaningful activity aimed to support the Government in repelling the pandemic, demonstrating the care and responsibility of Viettel for the community, contributing to the economic development of the country.
Over the past time, along with providing important technology solutions, Viettel has donated VND 450 billion to the National COVID-19 Vaccine Fund, VND 21 billion to pandemic-hit provinces and cities, VND 60 billion to the Military Region 7 Command to assist needy people in the Southern provinces, more than VND 94 billion to the “Mobile coverage and computers for children” program, among others.
In addition, since 2014, Viettel has granted scholarships, worth over VND 210 billion, to disadvantaged children throughout the country.
