Previously, NWC had conducted multiple meetings with VMC, expressing confidence in its manufacturing and research capabilities. NWC chose Viettel's corporation as its first long-term partner in Vietnam, citing VMC's advantageous geographical location and strong production capacity, particularly in light of global supply chain disruptions. North American and European markets, which impose strict requirements on product origin, are key targets for this partnership, especially as the telecommunications industry transitions to 5G technology.

Under the agreement, VMC will manufacture and supply 60,000 to 100,000 kms of optical fiber cables annually, generating a revenue of USD 4 to 7 million per year. These products will serve both defense and civilian needs in North America and Europe. Additionally, the two companies discussed developing new telecommunications accessory products to meet market demands.
Currently, VMC is Vietnam’s leading optical fiber manufacturer, exporting to three continents: Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Its annual revenue from optical fiber cables and telecommunications accessories reaches approximately VND 1,000 billion.
In pursuit of international business objectives, VMC not only focuses on electronics research and precision engineering but also develops dual-use products and expands its portfolio of civilian products.
