Saigon Newport Corporation starts New Year production
PANO - Saigon Newport Corporation welcomed the lunar New Year’s Eve and started its new-year production on the evening of January 31 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Last year, despite COVID-19 impacts, the corporation excellently achieved its business plan, handling over 9.2 million TEUs, equivalent to 130 million tons of goods, an increase of 4.7 percent against 2020.
Addressing the ceremony, Senior Colonel Ngo Minh Thuan, the corporation’s general director, attributed the above outcomes to the company’s acceleration of IT application. He also highlighted the company’s customer care through social media.
This year, the corporation plans to increase its business and production by 6 percent compared to 2021.
On the New Year’s Eve, it served seven container ships at its Tan Cang - Cat Lai port in Thu Duc city, Ho Chi Minh City. At Tan Cang - Cat Lai port, about 15,000 TEUs or 210,000 tons of goods were loaded and unloaded.
At the ceremony, the Saigon Newport Corporation donated over VND 2.4 billion to the Fund for the Poor of Ho Chi Minh City and other localities in the city.
