MB launches new branch in Kon Tum Province

The opening ceremony was attended by Duong Van Trang, Secretary of the Kon Tum Provincial Party Committee; Le Ngoc Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Kon Tum Provincial People’s Committee; and Senior Colonel Luu Trung Thai, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the MB. Also present were representatives from the provincial leadership, the State Bank of Vietnam’s Kon Tum Branch, MB leadership, Army Corps 34, Corps 15, and various agencies, units, and businesses in the region.

The establishment of MB Kon Tum marks an important step in MB’s strategy to expand its network and tap into the economic potential of the Northern Central Highlands. It also contributes to the local economic and social development. Over the next three to five years, MB Kon Tum aims to serve 35 percent of local customers, reach a credit scale of VND 2.5 trillion, and become one of the two highest-revenue private joint-stock commercial banks in Kon Tum Province.

At the event, Senior Colonel Luu Trung Thai highlighted that after 30 years of development, MB has emerged as one of Vietnam’s leading banks, with a strong presence in banking, securities, insurance, and financial technology. The establishment of the Kon Tum branch underscores MB’s commitment to fostering growth in the Central Highlands. Recognizing Kon Tum’s agricultural, tourism, and industrial potential, MB Kon Tum aims to be a reliable partner by providing flexible and innovative financial solutions to promote sustainable economic growth and support local businesses.

To mark the occasion, MB donated VND 5.5 billion to Kon Tum Province to eliminate temporary and dilapidated housing and funded the construction of 25 “Great unity houses” in Sa Thay and Ngoc Hoi districts.
