Major General Phan Thi Hoai Van, Deputy Director of the General Department of Defense Industry and Standing Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, chaired the meeting.
At the event, delegates heard reports on the progress of preparations for the fair, which is scheduled to take place from November 20 to 23 at the Lao International Exhibition and Convention Center (Lao-ITECC) in Vientiane, Laos.
The fair will feature exhibition areas showcasing the friendship and cooperation between the peoples and militaries of Vietnam and Laos; the promotion of products and images from Vietnamese and Lao military enterprises; as well as consumer goods, agricultural products, and food from businesses of both countries.
Within the framework of the fair, there will be various international trade connection seminars and programs, attracting companies from Vietnam, Laos, China, Thailand, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and several other regional countries.
In her speech, Gen. Van affirmed that the fair is a socio-political event aimed at promoting the time-honored friendship between Vietnam and Laos. It also offers opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises in general, and military enterprises in particular, to expand trade relations with Lao businesses and partners from around the world.
