Vietnam eager to assist U.S. firms' operations amid COVID-19
PANO - Politburo member and head of the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commissionvirtual Tran Tuan Anh had a virtual meeting with the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council (USABC) on October 14 which drew the participation of representatives from nearly 40 leading U.S. enterprises.
He stated that the Vietnamese Party and State have always valued their relations with the U.S. - one of Vietnam's top trade partners and appreciated the USABC's efforts to assist the U.S. business community in overcoming challenges and promoting trade and investment partnerships with ASEAN member states, including Vietnam, amid the pandemic.

During the event, the two sides discussed Vietnam's institutional issues and socioeconomic development policies, as well as the U.S. firms’ recommendations and proposals.
The USABC affirmed that they would continue to accompany and closely coordinate with the Vietnamese Party and Government, as well as actively promote the effective and practical growth of the Vietnam-U.S. economic, trade, and investment links in order to meet the wishes and interests of the two countries.
