Binh Duong to strengthen cooperation with RoK businesses
PANO - The “Meet Korea 2022” event was held in the southern province of Binh Duong on November 11 as part of activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK).

The event was jointly organized by the Ministry of of Foreign Affairs and the Binh Duong provincial People’s Committee.
As of the end of September, the RoK was the largest investor in Vietnam with more than 9,400 valid projects with total registered capital of over more than USD 80.5 billion.
Korean enterprises continue to be important contributors to Vietnam's economy, accounting for about 30% of the total value of Vietnam's exports.
The RoK ranks fifth among investors in Binh Duong, with 756 projects worth nearly USD 3.3 billion, accounting for 19% of the total projects and 8% of the foreign direct investment (FDI) poured into the locality.
The “Meet Korea 2022” event will help Binh Duong and RoK partners promote investment and science -technology cooperation; cultural and sports exchange; and smart city development.
The province’s representative affirmed that local authorities will create the most favorable conditions for the business community in general and those from the RoK in particular to conduct production and trade in Binh Duong.
At the event, Becamex International Hospital and Bumin Hospital of the RoK signed a cooperation agreement on developing public healthcare.
On the occasion, the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KOCHAM) in Binh Duong presented 152 scholarships, worth VND 400 million in total, to needy students with good academic results in the locality and ten “Red Cross” houses.
