Vietnamese national anthem played at World Cup: Coach Philippe Troussier wishes
PANO - During his 68th birthday party on March 21, coach Philippe Troussier wished the Vietnamese national anthem would be played at the World Cup one day.
Talking to the press agencies, the French coach shared that he has nurtured big ambitions and he would devote himself entirely to Vietnamese football. He is ready to share his experience with Vietnamese football players to help the country’s football achieve the set targets.

Also, he hoped that one day, the Vietnamese national anthem would be played at the World Cup.
Mentioning the U23 International Cup - Doha, Qatar 2023, Philippe Troussier evaluated that the tournament offered a good opportunity for the Vietnamese U23 men’s football team, considering it as a stepping stone on the way to SEA Games 32.
As scheduled, U23 Vietnam will meet U23 Iraq in their first match at the tournament at 2:45 a.m. on March 23 (Vietnam time). According to Mr. Troussier, U23 Iraq is a strong opponent, requiring Vietnamese players to show total concentration, solidarity, and flexible coordination.
Regarding the training progress of U23 Vietnam over the past time, he said that U23 football players have showed remarkable improvements. In the coming time, although the players face strong rivals, they will learn valuable experience to improve their capabilities.
