Vietnamese chess player earns gold at Asian Youth Chess Championships
PANO - Nguyen Ha Khanh Linh won a gold medal in the standard chess category at the ongoing Asian Youth Chess Championships on April 9 in Thailand.
Khanh Linh scored 7.5 points, followed by Rajanya Datta (India) with 5 points.

In addition, Nguyen Anh Khoi won a gold medal in the boys’ U16 of the blitz chess category, while in the blitz chess category for the girls' U16 and U18, the gold medalists are Bach Ngoc Thuy Duong and Nguyen Hong Anh.
Earlier, Tran Minh Thang competed in the boys’ U18 and won a gold medal in the rapid chess category.
The Asian Youth Chess Championships 2018 runs from April 1 to 10 in Thailand and has attracted nearly 600 players from 26 countries and territories. The Vietnamese chess team is participating in the event with 82 young players.
