Vietnam athlete wins gold medal at Asian indoor tournament in Kazakhstan
PANO - The SEA Games record breaker Nguyen Thi Oanh clinched a gold medal at the 1,500m event for women of the Asian Indoor Athletics Championships 2023 in Kazakhstan on February 11.
Nguyen Thi Oanh finished the run in 4 mins 15.55 seconds.

The same day, another Vietnamese athlete Nguyen Thi Huyen clinched a silver medal in the 400m event for women with a total time 54.57 seconds.
The Asian Indoor Athletics Championships 2023 drew the participation of over 500 athletes from 31 countries and territories to compete in 26 events. The Vietnam athletics team sent its four best athletes to the tournament, including Nguyen Thi Oanh, Nguyen Thi Huyen, Luong Duc Phuong and Nguyen Trung Cuong.
