First Vietnamese female boxer wins WBO Asia Pacific title
PANO - Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi is the first Vietnamese female boxer who has won the World Boxing Organization (WBO) Asia Pacific competition after she defeated her rival at the finale in Cambodia on February 29.

Nhi, from the HCM City-based Cocky Buffalo Gym, defeated Kanyarat Yoohanngoh from Thailand to take the WBO Asia Pacific Boxing Minimum-weight crown after 10 rounds.
She will be the first Vietnamese to enter the WBO World Championship scheduled in the Republic of Korea in this April.
Apart from Nhi, four other Vietnamese fighters also made victories at the event on the same day.
