Cutting the ribbon to start the exhibition and the award handover ceremony of the Vietnam Art Photo Contest 2022

The event gathered photographers nationwide and was a chance to review and assess art compositions by Vietnamese photographers. It introduced to domestic and international viewers best art photos of Vietnamese photographers. It also encouraged these photo artists to create more works with high values in contents and art forms, serving the spiritual and cultural life of people and introducing and popularizing the images of Vietnam and its people.

After three months of launch, the organizers received 16,395 works from 1,502 photographers throughout Vietnam.

The art jury, including reputed photographers, selected 250 works by 187 photographers for the exhibition. Twenty-nine outstanding photos were chosen for awards, including one gold, four silver, eight bronze medals and 16 consolation prizes.

The gold medal belonged to the work "Thu Thiem Tunnel No.2 - new highlight,” by Le Quang Thien from Da Nang city. Among the silver medalists was the "Golden Goal" by photographer Dinh Trong Hai from the People's Army Newspaper (PAN).

Visiting the exhibition, viewers can see photos with good content, diverse in topics, and valuable in terms of ideology and art.

The work “Dreams of highland children” also wins an award at the contest.

In the language of photography, the works have reflected truthfully and vividly the beauty of the people, culture and landscape of the country and depicted issues and events of contemporary life, photographers’ thoughts, opinions, ideas, and other contents towards the values of truth, goodness and beauty.
