Vietnamese students explore French cuisine
PANO - A meeting of high school students, French cuisine and hotel management schools and French chefs was held in Ho Chi Minh City on March 21 by the French Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, as part of activities of the international culinary event entitled “Goût de France”.

At the meeting, Vietnamese students learned more about connection programs between French and Vietnamese universities in hotel management and international culinary services fields.
The “Goût de France” event, jointly organized on March 21 by France’s Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and French Embassies and Consulates General in foreign countries, drew the participation of 3,000 restaurants in 150 countries. During the event, a typical French meal was served.
The event in Vietnam attracted more than 40 France-style restaurants, including over 20 from the South.
According to Mr. Vincent Floreani, Consul General of France in Ho Chi Minh City, the event aimed to introduce to Vietnamese people some mainstays and principles of French cuisine. He added that Vietnamese and French cuisines are similar in their diversity of dishes, high quality and wholesomeness of food.
