Vietnamese painters’ works receive big applause at int’l exhibition
PANO - Eighteen lacquer paintings by six Vietnamese painters received high appreciation from the K-Art International Exchange Association, the Artistic Jury, and the Executive Committee of the International Fine Arts Association at the newly-ended 26th international statue and painting exhibition in Seoul, the Republic of Korea.
These paintings were said to be in high quality and beautiful and left deep impression on art experts and viewers, especially international artists, collectors and curators. All six painters are from the Hanoi-based UNESCO Center for Fine Arts.
On display at the exhibition, with the participation of artists from 13 countries worldwide and hosted by the K-Art International Exchange Association, were more than 200 works of different materials such as lacquer, oil and painting, watercolor, silk, among others.

It aimed to boost understanding, cooperation and fine arts exchange between Korean artists and their international peers.
At a meeting to review the exhibition, the K-Art International Exchange Association acknowledged Vietnamese painters’ contributions to the success of the exchange and to the cooperation between the Hanoi-based UNESCO Center for Fine Arts and the Korean association in particular and other international fine arts associations in general.
Four honorable certificates, one bronze medal and a first prize (for painter Phan Thi Thanh Mai) were presented to the Vietnamese painters.
Such an exchange is expected to open up more cooperation, exchange and composition opportunities for both Vietnamese and international artists.
