Vietnam has eight more national intangible cultural heritage elements
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has added eight more cultural icons to the list of Vietnam’s national intangible cultural heritage.

The heritage elements include the traditional craft of My Long rice paper making in My Thanh commune, Giong Trom district, Ben Tre province; traditional craft of Son Doc soufflé making in Hung Nhuong commune, Giong Trom district, Ben Tre province; Dong Thap shanty in Dong Thap province; and whale worshiping in Quang Trach, Bo Trach, Quang Ninh and Le Thuy districts, Ba Don town and Dong Hoi city in Quang Binh province.
Others consist the Raglai ethnic group’s ceremony for bidding a final farewell to the dead in Phuoc Chien commune, Thuan Bac district, Ninh Thuan province; maturity ritual of the San Diu ethnic group in Nam Hoa commune, Dong Hy district and Ban Dat commune, Phu Binh district in Thai Nguyen province; Pa Dung folk singing of th Dao ethnic group in Phuc Chu commune, Dinh Hoa district and Yen Ninh commune, Phu Luong district in Thai Nguyen province; and Soong Co folk singing of the San Diu ethnic group in Lap Thach, Tam Dao and Binh Xuyen districts and Phuc Yen city, Vinh Phuc province.
The ministry assigned local authorities of the provinces where the heritages are located to be responsible for the management of the heritages.
