Sixty three films will compete in different categories and programs, such as Asian films, Vietnamese films, Today’s Vietnamese Cinema, Close-up at French Cinema, selected films by Director Dang Nhat Minh, films on Da Nang, and Varan documentary films, among others.

According to the organizers, this second edition gathers numerous stars, film makers, well-known film experts at home and abroad. The jury will choose and honor the best works that bear humanity, new exploration, and typical performing art.
The organizing panel hoped that the festival would encourage talents, introduce to the public new films with high values in contents and arts that are typical in the cinematography of Vietnam, Asia-Pacific, and other parts of the world.
Apart from the opening ceremony on July 2 and closing ceremony on July 6, the festival will screen films at cinemas and outdoor spaces at Lien Chieu district's Administrative Park, the semicircles on Nhu Nguyen road, and Bach Dang Pedestrian Street.

In addition, audiences will have chance to exchange with film-makers, famous artists, participate in seminars, talks, and connectivity activities.
Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Film Development Association and Director of the DANAFF II-2024, informed that this will be the first time a Film Achievement Award will be awarded to the best film-maker.
Lan added that the organizers hoped that the second edition’s “Bridging Asia” message will spread the brand of the festival.
