Photo exhibitions honor painter Xu Man and Gong Culture
PANO – Two photo exhibitions entitled “Cultural Space of Gong of Tay Nguyen (Central Highlands)” and “Painter Xu Man – Legacy” opened in Gia Lai province on November 29, as part of the Central Highlands Gong Culture Festival 2018.
The Cultural Space of Gong of Tay Nguyen (Central Highlands) exhibition features 110 images, including 20 file photos and 90 images of many photographers and of cultural and ethnological researchers at home and abroad.

On display are over 150 paintings, photos and documents depicting life and career of the painter Xu Man who made great contribution to the contemporary fine arts of the Central Highlands and of Vietnam as a whole.
In 2012, he was presented with the State Award for his artworks, including two oil paintings depicting Uncle Ho’s love for the Central Highlands and Uncle Ho with the Central Highlands, and lacquer paintings on festivals and the mountains and forests of the Central Highlands at dawn.
The exhibition will run till December 2.
