This year, due to the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, the National Press Festival was postponed. Therefore, the VJC Standing Committee decided to honor outstanding press awards in late 2020, early 2021 in three categories, namely “Impressive lunar New Year newspaper cover pages,” “Impressive lunar New Year e-newspaper interfaces,” “Impressive lunar New Year TV and radio programs.”
According to the organizing panel, the awards drew 496 entries from journalist associations across the country.

After the assessment, the jury honored 28 TV and radio programs and 12 lunar New Year e-newspaper interfaces.
For the “Impressive lunar New Year newspaper cover page” category, the judging panel presented 17 A prizes, 29 B prizes, 32 C prizes, and 30 consolation prizes. Notably, the People’s Army Newspaper won A prize in this category.
Regarding the “Vietnam 2020” press photo contest and exhibition, the contest was open to all journalists, members of the VJA, officials, reporters, and collaborators from press agencies nationwide and members of the Press Photo Club of the Cultural House under the VJA.

Eight hundred and thirty eight entries, taken from January 1 to November 30, 2020, were submitted to the organizing panel. The works reflected socio-economic, cultural, scientific and technical achievements, Vietnamese people’s beauty in production, spiritual-cultural life, and so on.
Among 84 works selected for the final phase, the jury council awarded 11 best works and chose 73 outstanding works to display at the exhibition.
