Present at the opening ceremony was Ninh Binh provincial leadership. The festival, which was hosted by the provincial People’s Committee of Ninh Binh in coordination with Xuan Truong Construction Enterprise, drew the participation of Ninh Binh leadership.

The festival is held annually to commemorate Saint Quy Minh Dai Vuong, Kings of the Tran Dynasty and predecessors for their great contributions to the building and protection of the country.

The festival is aimed to educate young Vietnamese generations about traditional patriotism, national pride and unity in the cause of national construction and defense.

Themed “Quintessence converging in  the kingdom of stones,” the two-day festival relived parts of the Vietnamese history in the Dinh, Le, Ly and Tran dynasties in the ancient capital with military bases built to fight invaders.

During the festival, numerous rituals, including the dragon procession on the river, the water procession, the offering of incense to Saint Quy Minh Dai Vuong, were performed.

Besides, audiences could enjoy boat trips to contemplate picturesque scenery, and artistic and cultural activities introducing the values of different cultural and natural values, such as Ca Tru, Van, and Cheo singing and upland art space of Ha Giang, Bac Kan, and Hoa Binh.
