Various traditional handicrafts introduced at the event |
Held at the province’s gymnasium from December 17 to 24, the event aims to introduce and honour the cultural heritage, relic sites and scenic landscapes, along with traditional handicrafts of Vietnam, thereby helping attract resources for developing tourism and promoting the country’s stature.
It showcases 350 photos of the UNESCO-recognized heritage and famous historical relic sites and landscapes across the country, including terraced fields in the northwest, Ba Be Lake in Bac Kan province, the Huong River and Ngu Mountain in Thua Thien Hue province, and Tam Coc - Bich Dong in Ninh Binh.
Nearly 200 outstanding products of traditional craft villages is also displayed, including Phu Dieu pottery (Hai Phong city); Dinh Cong silver items, Van Phuc silk, Dong Cuu embroidery, Phu Vinh bamboo and rattan products, Son Dong wood handicrafts, Bat Trang pottery, and Chuong conical hats (Hanoi); Chu Dau pottery (Hai Duong province); Dong Xam silver products (Thai Binh province); and Thanh Tien paper flower (Thua Thien Hue province).
During the event, exchanges and cultural programs are set to be organized daily to introduce intangible cultural heritage and folk arts such as the xam, ca tru, chau van, quan ho, then, and Xoan singing, among others.
It will be available online, at http://trienlamvhnt.vn and http://vhtt.ninhbinh.gov.vn, from December 20 this year to February 28, 2022, according to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
