Lai Chau hosts second Open Putaleng Paragliding Tournament
PANO - The Open Putaleng Paragliding Tournament was kicked off in the northern mountainous province of Lai Chau on December 24 by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The second edition has attracted the participation of more than 60 paragliders and 17 hot air balloon pilots and technicians from Vietnam and various foreign countries.
The four-day event aims to popularize special cultural values, natural landscapes, cultural features, and people of Lai Chau to both domestic and international audiences.
Standing at 3,049m, Putaleng on the Hoang Lien Son Mountain is Vietnam's second highest peak after the Fansipan (3,143 meters).
In recent years, the mount has become a favorite destination for domestic and international athletes who want to conquer the height and contemplate the beauty of Vietnamese mountainous localities from above.
