The 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31) chose the Saola as the symbol and mascot. The hot air balloon festival aimed to popularize the value of Vu Quang National Park to people nationwide and international friends, contributing to promoting the image of Ha Tinh province as a safe and attractive destination for investors in tourism development.
